Rosecraft - Barren Fork Jack Blue Denim Micarta - RCT031 BDM

The RoseCraft Barren Fork Jack Blue Denim Micarta is a one-bladed square-end jack pattern that features a 2.9” 14C28N classic clip point blade with a brushed satin finish, long pull, half-stop and heavy swedging. It has blue denim Micarta covers with brushed stainless-steel bolsters, liners, and nickel silver pins. It carries the RoseCraft Diamond shield. This is the first offering from RoseCraft with 14C28N stainless steel. It’s 3.625” closed, 6.5” overall, and weighs just 2.8oz. This pattern was inspired by a very old NON-XLL pattern by Joseph Allen & Sons of Sheffield and re-imagined by Andy Armstrong.

Why 14C28N Steel? 

First and foremost, our customers asked for a stainless steel, and 14C28N fit that bill perfectly. It’s a stainless steel with high corrosion resistance which means you don’t have to be as careful about getting it completely dry like you might with D2. It also takes a very sharp edge and is easier to sharpen than other steels like D2.
